Rev. John Crews

Rev. John S. Crews, Ed.D.
Executive Director

Prior to joining Hanna Boys Center’s staff, Father Crews served in three parishes and two high schools in the Diocese of Santa Rosa. He has served as Chaplain in the United States Naval Reserve for more than 25 years and currently holds the rank of Captain, Retired. He was appointed Executive Director of Hanna Boys Center in 1984 and continues to serve in that capacity overseeing all facets of the Center’s operation, especially those directly involving the boys.

D. Scott Singer

D. Scott Singer, M.A.
Chief Operating Officer

Scott, who has a Masters in Educational Administration from St. Mary's College, started at Hanna more than 25 years ago and has held several positions on campus during that time. Currently, he is Chief Operating Officer and is involved in all aspects of the program and the daily life of our boys.

Monica Clark

Monica Clark,
Chief Financial Officer

Monica, a graduate of San Francisco State University, joined the Hanna staff in 1994 as Chief Financial Officer. Monica's previous work experience was with several well known Bay Area organizations including Project Open Hand, Marin Country Day School and over 10 years at Shea Labagh Dobberstein during which she achieved her CPA designation. Throughout Monica's professional career in the financial field, she has volunteered countless hours in support of non-profit organizations, having served on the Finance and Investment Committees of San Domenico School, and Dominican Sisters. Monica's financial expertise, guidance and caring spirit continue to ensure that the Center fulfills its mission of turning hurt into hope for at-risk boys and their families.

Timothy Norman

Timothy Norman, Ph.D.
Clinical Director

Tim earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. He came to Hanna more than 16 years ago, bringing with him his training and years of experience in the mental health field. He is the Center’s Clinical Director, responsible for treatment programs for the boys in addition to staff training and development.

Kris Van Giesen

Kris Van Giesen,
Chief Development and Community Relations Officer

Kris, a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, joined the Hanna staff in 2005 after leaving a position with his alma mater, where he was working on a major capital campaign. Prior to his work at Cal, Kris worked for the Omnicom Group in San Francisco as a Senior Director in Business Strategy and Development. During most of the decade in the 1990's, Kris held various leadership positions working at The White House and in politics in Washington, DC. As a Sonoma County native and graduate of Santa Rosa High School, Kris enjoys working to help the boys in the community where he grew up. He spends his time away from Hanna Boys Center with his wife and two children.
