Hanna provided me the structure that I was lacking at home. I was given guidelines, expectations and discipline that I desperately needed. In school I got individual attention in small classes. I was being supported by counselors and teachers.

Life After Hanna

The Hanna Scholarship Program provides financial support to boys seeking to continue their education after completing the program. On average, there are 25-30 boys a year receiving financial aid to attend Christian and parochial high schools, trade schools, community colleges and four-year colleges and universities.

Follow-on Care

Some boys who complete the Hanna Boys Center program need continuing support. Each Hanna caseworker works with a boy and his family, so when the youngster returns to his family, they have changed along with him. Our follow-on care counseling program helps smooth the transition from Hanna to home as boys are reunited with their families.

Hanna’s reach extends beyond the campus and into neighboring communities. Our outreach program includes community parenting classes, where Hanna’s staff share the insights they’ve gained from over five decades of nurturing boys and supporting their success.

Hanna provides many graduating youngsters with scholarships to colleges, universities and trade schools. In addition, we provide a range of follow-on services that assist hundreds of our alumni after they leave the Hanna Boys Center. In addition to educational assistance, we provide counseling to assist in obtaining employment, and general life and family skills. Follow-on care is designed to provide on-going assistance well after a youngster leaves Hanna. In order to provide these services without asking for outside assistance, Hanna continues to explore additional sources of revenue.
