Trauma-Informed Care

Resiliency and Regulation for Self & Community in the Workplace (TIC 102)

Length: Eight hours

(two 4-hour workshops, unless otherwise requested)

Delivery: Live in-person or live virtual

In this eight-hour course, Hanna Institute will begin with a refresher on critical concepts discussed previously in our Trauma-Informed Care: Foundations (TIC101) course. Then, attendees can put their learnings from TIC101 into action! Attendees will explore the ARC framework to learn more about how to mitigate the impacts of complex trauma in the workplace, experiment with different strategies and skills that can help enhance their individual self-regulation and resiliency practice and promote resiliency and regulation in their larger communities. This course can be delivered at once or broken up into intervals.

Learning Objectives

Part 1 Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to: 

  • Review key concepts about trauma science and TIC principles 
  • Reflect on the dominant order of our social structure 
  • Explore the political-economic social system of White Supremacy 
  • Look through a trauma-informed lens to identify incidences of racial, historical and intergenerational trauma in organizational or social structures 

Part 2 Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Consider possible resistance strategies to disrupt the dominant social structure in our environment 
  • Freedom dream to radically imagine a more equitable and anti-racist society 
  • Plan trauma-informed and trauma-responsive actions that can their organizations and larger systems can take to help prevent and heal survivors of traumatic events
