Rick Airaudi and his family began monthly donations to Hanna not long after Hanna was established in 1945. Rick’s father, Claude, started the tradition, which continues to this day.

The ‘Hanna Hall of Fame’ feature spotlights a staff member, alumni, donor or student who demonstrates
the dedication, integrity, commitment and loyalty that collectively makes Hanna Center ‘home’ for so many.

In the book, “The Last Temptation of Christ,” there is a scene where the devil slithering like a snake goes up the back of the cross, out of view of everyone.

Idway into his freshman year at Vallejo High School in 2019, Victor Paredes’s mom pulled him out, fearing for his safety after learning he had joined a gang. “My mom wanted me to go to school there so I could be with my sisters,” Victor explains.

Jose is thrilled to have been accepted to the Respiratory Therapy Program at Skyline University, after waiting three years to win an available spot in their admission lottery.

Christian is a junior at Hanna Center’s High School and is celebrating two recent back-to-back wins, including earning his driver’s permit and securing his first part-time job at Ledson Winery.

“Hanna helped me learn how to persevere in school,” Angel says. “I lost some of what I learned when I first graduated, but I’ve been able to re-visit things that they taught me.

Hector was living in poverty and an unstable environment when he first entered Hanna Center. “I had to make changes in my life,” he says. “Hanna taught me independence and I learned more about my faith.

A faithful donor for many years, Mary Jay gives because she and her brother ‘did not have the option of going to a refuge like Hanna’ when they were both growing up in an abusive household.

Luis is a 17-year-old senior at Hanna Center’s High School, having arrived on campus four years ago. He is from Santa Rosa, but he spent his early years with his grandmother in Mexico on her farm.
