Summit Update

An Update on the Hanna Center Summit

The Hanna Center Summit, originally scheduled for October 15–16, 2026, has been rescheduled to April 8–9, 2027.

As we took a closer look at the Summit and listened to the needs of our community, we saw an opportunity to make the gathering more accessible and more deeply focused on Sonoma County. Beginning in 2027, the Summit will be a free event, allowing more educators, healthcare professionals, community leaders, youth-serving organizations, and others to participate regardless of their resources.

This additional time will allow us to thoughtfully shape the Summit around the needs and experiences of our local community, with a focus on sharing Sonoma County data, practical resources, and approaches that can help us better support young people together.

We’re grateful for your interest in the Summit and for your flexibility as we make these changes. If you previously registered, we especially appreciate your patience and hope you’ll join us in April.

Please save the new dates: April 8–9, 2027, at Hanna Center in Sonoma County. We’ll share the updated program and additional event details as we get closer to the Summit.

We look forward to bringing our community together for a meaningful and accessible Summit this spring.

Confirmed Keynote Speaker

Richard Cabral

Richard Cabral is an Emmy-nominated actor best known for his four-season role as ‘Coco’ on the hit FX series Mayans M.C. He has appeared in numerous television shows and films, but his most powerful role is the one he carries into every space: a young person who was raised in East Los Angeles, was involved in gang life, and found his way to transformation through deliberate change-work and community support.

Richard uses his platform and his lived experience to authentically speak with practitioners and young people about substance use, recovery, resilience, and what it takes to believe in someone’s potential when the systems around them haven’t. His one-man show, Fighting Shadows, distills his journey into powerful testimony about what change actually requires. His message resonates because it’s grounded in the reality of what he survived and what he built.

At the summit, Richard brings earned expertise and genuine hope—not celebrity credentials.
