Emily Emmerson

Associate Mental Health Therapist

Emily graduated from Sonoma State University in 2023 with her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She completed her traineeship at Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic in Santa Rosa, where she received training and supervision in somatic psychotherapy. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from U.C. Berkeley as well as a master’s degree in linguistics from San Francisco State University.

Prior to completing her counseling degree, Emily spent five years working as a mental health counselor at Buckelew Programs, a non-profit organization that provides specialty mental health services to low-income residents of Sonoma County. This gave her invaluable experience in crisis intervention, teamwork, understanding of mental health challenges and the recovery process, and knowledge of local community mental health resources.
