Hanna Academy’s first female student graduates, sets sights on career

After overcoming some unprecedented challenges, Sophia Unciano, the first female admitted to Hanna Academy in Sonoma, graduated this spring.

The ceremony was held at Hanna Center on Friday, June 5.

“I’m proud to have graduated, but being a girl — that I was the first person with female anatomy to go to that school — is not as big of a deal as everybody else makes it to be,” Unciano said.
