Selene Ayala is a bilingual Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Selene graduated from California State University, Northridge’s Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s program. Selene has experience working in the areas of trauma, intimate partner relations, and children. Selene takes on a client-centered approach in her work that allows her to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship and establish a safe and supportive space for each individual. Selene recognizes that an individual’s cultural background helps shape their lived experiences; therefore, she strives to practice cultural humility. Selene is proud to be a Spanish-speaking therapist as it helps create greater accessibility to mental health services. Selene utilizes a multi-model approach that includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play/Art Therapy, and Mindfulness. Selene is excited to further her career and provide trauma-informed care to community members.
