A Growing Array of Programs
Our recreation programs serve as the biggest entry point for community involvement with Hanna. When people come to our campus, they enjoy a community-based experience.
Through partnerships with the City of Sonoma and others, we are building out a comprehensive catalog of offerings. Programs include enrichment activities, winter and summer camps, recreation facility usage, support groups, and music programs.
Current Hanna Recreation Activities
Open Gym
It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned player or a beginner; everyone is welcome to pickup basketball! We will play five-on-five, full-court games up to 21 points, ensuring a fast pace with plenty of opportunities to play.
There are no long-term commitments; show up when it suits your schedule. Basketball is more than just a sport; it’s a social experience – meet fellow players, build friendships, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes open gym sessions special.
[All ages 16 and over (all skill levels)]
Recreation Center
Serving ages 13-18, the Hanna Recreation Center is designed to provide a safe, welcoming, and fun space for local teens to call their own and connect with each other.
Committed to fostering community, creating a sense of belonging, and providing a space for our community to thrive, Hanna Recreation has designed the Recreation Center to meet a need for dedicated youth spaces in Sonoma Valley.
Current Community Partners Activities
Futsal
Futsal is a fast-paced and exciting sport that combines elements of traditional soccer with characteristics tailored to indoor venues. Each team consists of five to eight players. Five on the court, including one goalkeeper and substitutions.

Led by Felipe Monroy, of the esteemed Bollettieri Tennis Academy, Sonoma Community Tennis is establishing a renowned tennis program right here on our campus. Our collaboration has made Hanna Center’s tennis courts an epicenter of tennis activities in Sonoma, offering diverse programs for all ages and skill levels.
Stack Basketball
Like our partners at Stack Basketball, Hanna believes that providing consistent and high-quality programs for our community will have a positive and lasting impact. Stack Basketball is dedicated to this endeavor, and we are excited to be a part of the growth and success of this program and serving these athletes.
Swim America
We are proud to host SwimAmerica Sonoma at our campus pool, providing enriching and potentially life-saving swim lessons to our community. SwimAmerica Sonoma is licensed by SwimAmerica, the nation’s leading learn-to-swim program developed by the American Swimming Coaches Association.
