Call for Mental Health Services
Respected community leader Therese Nugent elected Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Sonoma, Calif. (September 23, 2026) – Hanna Center is pleased to announce Therese Nugent as the Chair of the Board of Trustees. A Sonoma-based nonprofit dedicated to providing trauma-informed care, Hanna Center offers mental health services, residential services for foster youth, and community support services for people of all ages and backgrounds. With deep roots in Sonoma County stretching over forty years, Nugent brings an extensive network to the Hanna Center board built upon decades of civic engagement across the county, including work with the Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation and The Presentation School.
Therese Nugent is an exceptional leader whose deep commitment to community, thoughtful stewardship, and passion for Hanna Center’s mission make her the ideal person to serve as Chair of our Board of Trustees. Known for her tenacity, detail orientation, and dedication to offering quality tailored services, Nugent is a well-known real estate broker for Compass whose commitment has earned her an impressive and loyal client list. Having resided in Wine Country for over four decades, she has deep connections to her community and actively supports a wide range of nonprofit organizations in addition to Hanna Center, including Vintage House Senior Center, Sonoma Ecology Center, Friends in Sonoma Helping, and the Grade Level Proficiency Project. Nugent was previously the president of the Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the City of Sonoma Planning Commission.
