Title: Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations
Department: Development
Supervises: Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations
Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $80,000-$85,000
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Supports all aspects of Hanna’s Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) programs. Responsibilities include:
Grant Making (50%)
- Supports the department’s comprehensive five-year CFR plan through grant prospecting, proposal writing and reporting; as well as building and maintaining corporate and foundation partnerships
- Uses online tools to identify and qualify a wide range of corporate and foundation prospects
- Meets regularly with Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to set and review department fundraising and outreach benchmarks and goals
- Maintains a portfolio of 10-20 small foundations and funding sources
Corporate & Foundation Partnerships (50%)
- Seeks out new corporate partnerships and, with the Director, builds personalized engagement packages for each partner
- Helps organize and lead corporate volunteering projects at Hanna
- Recruit members for Hanna Leaders and help organize meetings and events
- Forges and maintains effective professional relationships with corporate and foundation staff
- Publishes online newsletter for foundation and corporate contacts
General Requirements
- Follows Hanna Center policies and procedures at all times
- Is punctual, courteous and agrees to assigned hours and work requirements
- Must be able to work onsite on Sonoma campus
- Willingly performs other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum 2-4 years successful applicable fundraising experience, preferably working with institutional donors or governmental organizations
- Familiarity with Instrumentl, Constant Contact, Raiser’s Edge, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software tools
- Ability to effectively assess resource needs, manage multiple direct reports and schedules, meet tight deadlines, and perform work punctually and accurately
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (and possibly some weeknights and evenings)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time; manage repetitive hand/wrist movements while using a computer keyboard and/or phone; bend, squat, stoop, and walk-up flights of stairs; occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal.
