Hanna Center Summer Camps are centered around recreation, skill-building, social connection, physical activity, safety, and huge amounts of just plain fun!

Few facilities can match the beauty and tranquility of Hanna Center, and even fewer can match the sports fields, Recreation Center, dining hall, and other features that make for a memorable overall experience. Led by some of the best local coaches and staff, our camps are built around a balance of skill development and personal growth, and aim to help achieve a healthier future for all. 

All-Day Rec Camps

Our Rec Camp provides a classic summer camp experience, with fun activities varying from session to session. Grouping is age and level appropriate, with highly structured programming emphasizing sportsmanship, instruction, arts, and physical activity.

Morning Specialty Camps

For campers interested in a specific camp experience, Hanna also offers morning specialty camps. These camps focus on a particular sport or activity, with age and level appropriate groupings in encouraging and supportive environments.

Campers who participate in Morning Specialty Camps also have the option to sign up for Rec Camp to extend their camp experience into the afternoon. 

Culinary Camp

Culinary camp will emphasize hands-on learning with a variety of ingredients to develop new skills and techniques in the kitchen. All activities will be feature age and level appropriate equipment.

Owner, baker, and decorator of Court’s Cookie Co. She Opened Court’s Cookie Co. in 2018 while being a 4th grade teacher. She used baking as a creative outlet, and a way to fill her free time. Now, it has blossomed into a full blown business. Courtney specializes in royal icing sugar cookies and dabbles in the world of macarons and drop cookies as well. Court’s Cookie Co. is a home based bakery for now, but has big dreams of opening a storefront in the future! Courtney Loves sharing her passion of baking with people and brings such positive energy to teaching others.

Soccer Camp

Soccer camp will emphasize  fundamentals through fun, play-based games and team drills.

Soccer Camp Head Coach

Irving was born and raised in Sonoma Valley. He is currently the Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams at College of Marin. Irving played Division 1 college soccer and professional soccer for the San Jose Earthquakes & FC Arizona. His passion is to give back to the community by helping youth experience an enriching sporting experience. He believes soccer can provide confidence, discipline, self-esteem, and respect for the youth of today. Irving’s philosophy is to create a fun learning environment where the players develop their skills through game experience and training. He believes that by playing soccer it will help players in their education and cultivate community.

Tennis Camp

Tennis camp will focus on fundamentals, including form and footwork, using play-based drills and games. Participants will learn to play both singles and doubles.

Tennis Camp Head Coach

From the early stages of his career to his great accomplishments at the IMG-Bollettieri Tennis Academy, Felipe has had the privilege of witnessing the complete making of a tennis player. From the pee wee stages to the world class athletes including Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, and many more. He has coached his players to practice with a purpose and performing drills repeatedly allowing them to achieve absolute confidence. “As a coach all I can hope to achieve is to enable my students to reach the maximum level of their ability.”

Lacrosse Camp

Lacrosse camp will focus on teaching shooting, stick handlining, position play, offense, and defensive footwork. Staff will lead daily games and physical conditioning.

Mac Sweeney

Lacrosse Camp Head Coach

Former Defender at Sonoma State. Mac has coached at multiple different levels and for different teams including ADCNC Lacrosse, Sonoma Academy, and Sonoma State. He is currently the Athletics Manager at Sonoma Academy. His mission is to maximize player potential, enjoyment of the game, and to help athletes reach their goals. Mac’s love of Lacrosse translates into his coaching where he is always willing to help a new or experienced player develop their skills to help grow their game.

Baseball Camp

Baseball camp will focus on developing pitching, catching, hitting, base-running, fielding, and the mental game to help participants prepare for their next level of play. Camp will feature individual and team instruction.

Baseball Camp Head Coach

From Sonoma Valley Justin was a standout at Sonoma High School. Allowing him to be a Division III Athlete at Menlo College. He coached Varsity Baseball for 10 years at Hanna Center. He continues coaching multiple sports in the valley including Baseball, Softball, and Football. Making him a highly regarded coach in the Sonoma Valley. He has been a teacher for over 15 years and currently works for Sonoma Valley Unified School District. Justin believes in having fun while building skills for both life and sports.

Basketball Camp

Basketball camp will focus on shooting fundamentals, ball handling, and position play, along with offensive and defensive footwork and skill building. Staff will lead physical conditioning exercises and teach on positive attitudes.

Basketball Camp Head Coach

Nick is a rising star in the basketball coaching scene in the Valley, dedicated to providing youth in Sonoma and Napa County with opportunities to compete, grow, and foster friendships through the sport. Nick built a great reputation while being the Director of Basketball at 707 Premier and coaching at Justin-Siena. Now Nick continues building as Founder and Director of Stack Basketball Club and the Varsity Basketball coach at Casa Grande High School. Nick’s passion for the game and commitment to youth development positions him as a leading figure in shaping the basketball landscape of the Valley.
